In USA, Five people were killed Saturday night at a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs, Another 18 people were injured in the mass shooting at Club Q. The attack came on the Transgender Day of Remembrance or TDOR, which is observed annually on November 20 to memorialise anyone murdered as a result of transphobia. In a statement, Club Q said it was “devastated by the senseless attack on our community” and offered condolences to victims and their families.

The suspected shooter was injured in the incident and was hospitalized, Colorado Springs Police Department spokeswoman Sgt. Pamela Castro said at an early morning briefing Sunday. Police released no further information about the attacker.
