In Rajasthan, Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jaipur on Tuesday. Gogamedi was shot inside his house, after which the gunmen fled the spot. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead."Three people came here and wanted to meet Sukhdev Singh. They entered inside, had a conversation with him for around 10 minutes and then opened fire on Sukhdev Singh and he died on the spot, his security guard was also injured in the incident. He has been admitted to the hospital. In the crossfire, one out of the three assailants was also shot and he died too... The incident has been captured on CCTV. We will be able to identify the accused and arrest them as early as possible," informed Jaipur Police Commissioner, Biju George Joseph.

A member of the Goldy Brar gang has claimed responsibility for the murder. "We take full responsibility for Sukhdev Gogamedi's murder," Rohit Godara Kapurisr wrote in a Facebook post. He claimed Gogamedi "used to support our enemies" and that prompted the attack.Canada-based gangster Brar is a wanted criminal by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and various states of the country. He is also wanted for the murder of Punjabi singer Siddhu Moosewala.Members of the Rajput community protested outside a Jaipur hospital, where mortal remains of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi have been kept.As per initial reports, four people entered a house where Gogamedi was present and opened fire at him. One of Gogamedi's security personnel and another person were injured in the firing," Rajasthan Director General of Police (DGP) Umesh Mishra told a news agency.
