In Haryana, a father allegedly killed her daughter, who was a tennis player, in a broad day light. Radhika Yadav was shot dead by her father on Thursday at their Gurugram's Sushant Lok, phase 2 residence. He reportedly fired three bullets consecutively at her following an altercation that was triggered by a disagreement over a video reel she had shot for social media. As per reports, the incident took place at around 10:30 am on the first floor of Radhika Yadav's family residence located in Sector 57 of Gurugram. Radhika Yadav's father, who was allegedly angered by the post, took out his licensed revolver and opened fire at her.
Radhika Yadav's father confessed to his crime and has been arrested by Gurugram police. The police said the man allegedly killed her because he was upset with his daughter running a tennis academy, and people made remarks at him, saying he was living on her earnings. The father, Deepak Yadav, fired five bullets at his daughter, and three hit her. The police have arrested the man. According to the police, Deepak, during the interrogation, said his daughter opened an academy after she suffered a shoulder injury. Whenever he went to his village in Wazirabad, people made taunts at him for living on his daughter's earnings, which hurt his dignity. The man said he told his daughter to shut down the academy, but she refused, which made him angry.
Radhika was a national-level tennis player and had won several competitions. Family members rushed Radhika Yadav to a private hospital nearby, but she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. The police have seized the gun used by her father, and the matter is under investigation.
