The particular type of euphoniousness and sonority which is in the voice of Yesudas - we can’t find anywhere else.
He should have sung more songs in Hindi but probably that could not be the case as he was required all the time in his own state, Kerala and in the remaining South India.

Yesudas has received numerous awards for his contributions to Indian music, including the prestigious Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awards.
He has also won several national film awards for best male playback singer.
