Krutika Desai: 'This time is one of my favourite parts of the year'

Actress Krutika Desai, who is part of the show Gauna, says that spending Christmas and New Year with her family is always wonderful. She adds that this is one of the best parts of the year for her. “I love this time. I always liked Santa Claus. I remember when my mom took me to a Monginis shop on Christmas Eve in my childhood, we met Santa, danced, and got surprise gifts like a pencil, eraser, drawing, and coloring books along with tasty pastries. Now that I'm an adult, my mom gets me cheesecakes and pastries. I don't have a Christmas tree at home, but I go to church and enjoy it,” she says, adding, “I love the lights, decorations, and Santa hat, it's a beautiful celebration in neighborhoods, malls, and restaurants. I just love the festive atmosphere!”
Talking about how she celebrated Christmas, she says, “I went to the church service, lit a candle, made a wish, and then strolled around enjoying the tall Christmas trees with decorations and lights. I've always liked wearing a Santa hat since I was a child. Finally, I ended the day with a good meal. Now, for New Year, I will be with my family and close friends.”

It's exactly a month since the Bigg Boss 17 finale. Rinku Dhawan is probably the most consistent contestant inside the house till now. Bigg Boss 17, which is hosted by Superstar Salman Khan, entered the 10th week of the show and Rinku has been nominated only a couple of times. Sharing about her game inside the house, her sister Janvi Vora says, "Rinku is playing her game well and she is extremely clear about her opinion on competitors' behaviour. Rinku knows it’s a game of nomination but even after that she does not change her opinion about people who are constantly nominating her. She has always played her game with dignity and maturity which is lacking in the contestants. And whatever the game may be she will always stand for her friends and relationships she made in the show. If you follow her journey in the show she is probably the only one contestant who has never broken any rule and always done the tasks with full dedication. She is someone who has been responsible for her kitchen tasks as well.”

Navin Prabhakar: We are trying to go out of Mumbai for New Year

Comedian Navin Prabhakar says that he wants to travel for New Year this year. He adds that every year he tries, but is not able to make it due to work commitments.“I always plan to go out of Mumbai with my family or friends during Christmas. Last year I was busy shooting in Kolhapur for a Marathi film so after the shoots I went somewhere near Goa in Konkan as my friend invited me. This year we are trying to go out of Mumbai for celebrations. But I am quite unaware about my performances this time so our plans are still pending. So, let's see how we'll celebrate Christmas this time,” he says.
He adds, “Parties are not about destinations but it's about my loved ones with whom I share a good bond and spend time with them, sharing plans about the upcoming year. This is what I have been doing for the last 20 years. Whenever we make plans to go out most of our time gets wasted due to travelling. So we try to stay in Mumbai and celebrate it with each other's family and engage in conversations with them. We even talk to our friend's children and guide them in their careers because we feel that conversations really leave an impact.”
Talking about his destination, he says, “For the past 5 years, we have been visiting our village and we used to visit the temples around, talk to people and discuss the good old days. I miss those days as I have not been able to revisit the village due to work. If I get free from my programmes, I would definitely visit the village again and cherish those moments. We usually burst crackers and welcome the new year. That's how we plan our new year. We will be visiting a small village in Pune and decorating the place with lights, we live in tents and have a campfire.”
Ask him what would he want to wish for this New Year, and he says, “I think if I ever get a magic wand, my first wish would be I wish I could make people laugh. I wish I didn't hurt people in any way. The reason behind the wish is that I really love to see people happy. My second wish would be that the stress levels of the people could decrease. When I go for my programmes, I have always heard people talking about their stress level and how it's affecting them. So, I wish that people live a stress-free life and get motivated to fulfil their goals. I wish people would love each other.”
He adds, “My third wish would be to get the things we have worked hard for. We all know that we must do hard work without feeling tension about the outcome. So, I believe that if you are doing something good for someone or are helping someone then God is watching you and he will be happy. So, I wish we all get engaged in good things and help someone who needs kindness.”

"Subhash Ghai sir was just entering on the sets and I was the first person who came in front of him. He told me, I got to know from social media that it was your birthday yesterday so I thought ek visit to banta hai (I should visit the sets). I know he must have come for Christmas or some other reason but what he said to me made my day. I felt like I should have a birthday like this every year," Lucky Mehta shared about Subhash Ghai's visit on the sets.

Talking about it, Lucky Mehta said, "Shubhash sir met everyone from Jaanki's cast and crew, spent some quality time, had some light hearted movement and discussion with all of us. In between all of this, he also said that when Lucky Mehta performs, the camera starts shaking. He also monitored our scenes. What more can I ask god for ? The showman of the industry is monitoring our scenes. I really felt blessed as we have grown up watching his art and take inspiration from him.”

Sneha Wagh on a spiritual trip

Sneha Wagh's character Protima recently ended in her television show, but this was like a blessing in disguise.Talking about the whole situation, Sneha Wagh said, "After my father passed away, my mom hasn't been anywhere. So I was planning a trip for her with my sister, my maasi’s (aunty’s ) but I was not sure whether I will be able to join them due to my commitments to Neerja. I was not sure if I will get a break for such a lengthy period from shoot or not being one of the main characters, but all things fell into place automatically."
Sneha Wagh visited temples in Gujarat during her family trip, especially in Dwarka.
"Dwarka is that kind of place which is very hot all around the year but surprisingly this time of year was very pleasant. Not too hot not really cold. Its the tip of our country which is near Pakistan, we also visited the small island bet dwarka, with the sea surrounded and beautiful scenery. Also, dwarka comes under one of the chardham, we visited almost the whole life cycle of Shree Krishna while his life there imprinted so many stories of our History of mythology. Somnath and Nageshwar Jyotirling was also nearby and all that made it the perfect place to visit,” Sneha Wagh shared on why she planned a trip for Dwarka.
During her trip, Sneha Wagh went to local markets to have traditional Gujarati breakfast like fafda-Jalebi and enjoyed Gujarati food. She went shopping with her family and bought dupattas, sarees with traditional Bandhani and Mirror work on it also many Gujarati traditional items.
"I also bought a few things but my mom, sister and maasi’s did a lot of shopping and I was standing on the side watching their excitement for shopping,” Sneha Wagh concluded.
