We need to save water, plant more trees, and avoid using plastic. Nature heals us, but if we don't save it, we will not be blessed and healed by nature. Radhika Vidyasagar: TV has evolved as a medium

Actress Radhika Vidyasagar, who is currently seen in Rahul Tewary and Rolling Tales production Udne Ki Aasha, says that TV, as a medium, has evolved. She says that the shooting style as well as the content, both have changed. “The TV medium has evolved significantly over the years. In the past decade or two, there have been substantial technological advancements. Back in the day, we used to shoot three to four days a week without the rush and chaos of today. Daily soaps started around 2005, and since then, technology and other aspects have evolved. However, we still need to evolve more in terms of the subjects and stories we handle on television. The topics we cover have not progressed much. We need to evolve as an audience, as production houses, and as artists. I strongly believe that the stories and themes need to progress and reflect contemporary issues and ideas more effectively,” she says.
Talking about working on different platforms, she says, “I have worked in all mediums, whether it be OTT or others. Acting remains the same across all platforms. The performances remain consistent, regardless of the medium. However, daily soaps are a different challenge altogether. While the essence of acting doesn't change, the pace in daily soaps is intense. You work continuously, often without breaks. Acting-wise, there is no difference; the performance is the same everywhere.”
Meanwhile, she says that being part of a daily soap has its pros and cons. “You get a steady and continuous income, and you're seen on TV every day, which helps you gain popularity quickly. Being on-screen daily ensures that you become a familiar face to the audience. On the flip side, working for 15 hours a day without any days off can be extremely tiring. These are the primary disadvantages. However, any job that demands 15-hour workdays will have its drawbacks. Every profession has its pros and cons, and daily soaps are no exception,” she says.

Seema Kapoor: Since very early in life, until now, my life has just been work

Actress Seema Kapoor, who has been part of the industry for the last 35 years, says that it has been just work for her for so long. The actress who is renowned for her work in notable projects like Kurukshetra, Gharwali Uparwali, Nagin, Hum Saath Aath Hai, and Razia Sultan, says that she has now forced herself to slow down, and enjoy other facets of life too. “I have no personal life as such because I'm not very social. Since very early in life until now, my life has just been work. But lately, I made myself experience what it is like to stay at home, relax, and organize my home. Also, I am working on my first novel. It's exciting, and I have improved my culinary expertise while being at home as well. So, it's been cool for me to manage my professional and personal life. I treat them as different aspects of my life and don't like to mix the two,” she says.
Ask her what have been the highlights of her work, and she says, “What can be the highlights when one has worked continuously and has a body of outstanding work? I believe in talking through my work. I would now love to do certain challenging and out-of-the-box roles, stereotypes make me dull.” Talking about who she takes inspiration from, she says, “My favorites have been Michelle Pfeiffer, Liz Taylor, Meena Kumari, Rekha, and Sridevi; they inspire me. Also, Al Pacino inspires me to no bounds. I wish I could get fabulous roles like them and prove my mettle.”

Pari Bhatti: TV surely gives instant popularity, but it depends on your character

Actress Pari Bhatti, who plays the role of Juhi Jadhav (Sailee's younger sister) in Rahul Tewary & Rolling Tales Production’s Udne Ki Aasha, says that TV surely makes you popular, but your character needs to be loved. She adds that once you have the love of the fans, everything is easy. “TV surely gives instant popularity, which I have personally experienced as well. However, it definitely isn’t limited to one or two shows. Honestly, I feel it depends on the actor and their ability to play various characters, which makes them versatile. That quality allows an actor to do several shows,” she says.
She adds, “If the fans love you and you love your work, it is definitely easy to maintain success in this industry.”Talking about her role, she says, “Juhi is a girl with a bubbly and sweet personality. I am the same way in real life; I am a very bubbly person who loves fun, which makes me happy to play my character.” Meanwhile, she says that a good atmosphere on the set is very important to perform well. “If the environment on set is happy and jolly, it allows us actors to work pleasantly and happily, making us enjoy our work more. Our pranks usually involve scaring each other from behind or shouting suddenly. It’s nothing too much, but it’s fun,” she says.

Actor Tanish Mahendru shares his fitness secret: I never compromise on my diet

Actor Tanish Mahendru, who has been making waves with his portrayal of Sufiyan in Rabb Se Hai Dua produced by Prateek Sharma and Parth Shah's Studio LSD, is renowned not only for his exceptional acting skills but also for his steadfast commitment to a fit and healthy lifestyle. Balancing a demanding acting career with a rigorous workout routine is no easy feat, but Tanish has mastered the art of time management and discipline.
The actor says, "My morning begins at 5:30 AM, while the world is still dark and silent. I lace up my running shoes and hit the pavement for a brisk jog around my neighborhood. This early morning run not only keeps me in shape but also provides the mental clarity needed to tackle the day's challenges. After a quick 5-mile run, I return home to a nutritious breakfast of oatmeal, fruits, and a protein shake."
Talking about his fitness routine, Tanish further says, "By 7:00 AM, I'm at the gym, engaging in a mix of strength training and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). My personal trainer, Rohan, has designed a customized workout plan that targets different muscle groups each day, ensuring a balanced and comprehensive fitness regime. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are dedicated to upper body workouts, while Tuesdays and Thursdays focus on the lower body. Saturdays are reserved for core strengthening exercises."
The real highlight of my fitness routine is my evening swim. No matter how hectic my day on set is, I always find time to dive into the pool. Swimming is not just a workout for me; it is a form of therapy. The cool water soothes my muscles, and the rhythmic strokes help me unwind after a long day of filming. Most evenings, you can find me at the local sports club, gliding through the water with grace and precision.
On set, Tanish's commitment to fitness is well known. During breaks between scenes, he is often seen doing quick workouts or stretching exercises. His co-stars admire his dedication, with some even joining him for impromptu workout sessions. Tanish believes that a fit body is crucial for delivering the physically demanding roles he often portrays, and his directors appreciate the energy and stamina he brings to his performances.
Despite his busy schedule, Tanish never compromises on his diet. "I never compromise on my diet. My meals are meticulously planned by a nutritionist to ensure I receive the right balance of proteins, carbs, and fats. On days when shooting goes late into the night, I carry healthy snacks like nuts, fruits, and protein bars to keep my energy levels up. Weekends are special for me. On Sunday mornings, I take a break from my usual routine and indulge in outdoor activities like hiking or cycling with friends. This not only keeps my workouts varied and exciting but also gives me a chance to connect with nature and rejuvenate my mind and body."
