Rajesh Khanna’s wizardry continues

In ‘Baharon ke Sapne’ (1967), when Chetan Anand the director signed Rajesh Khanna, then an absolute new comer against the then senior star Asha Parekh, she didn’t like it.
She was almost a successful actress by 6 years then; but before Chetan Anand she merely expressed her unhappiness but did not refuse.

Come to 1973 and heroines were trying their level best to get a chance to act with superstar Rajesh Khanna.

He supported the cause of a fading Asha Parekh being his heroine, saying she had agreed to act with him when he was nobody in 1967; and the time had come to pay off the debt by signing a fading Parekh in ‘Kati Patang.’

Times change and how! Rajesh Khanna never forgot being a big hearted man !!
