She said, “People are racing to prove they are happy, wealthy, and beautiful. No one is living in the real world anymore.” Though she agrees that even she went through a social media fever phase, until the day she realised that what she was doing was only to please others.
“I have changed myself completely for the betterment of myself. Till I had social media fever, I didn't realize I wasn't being normal, and one day I just felt, What am I doing and why am I doing this? I got my answer, and hence I live for my happiness now and not to please anyone,” she said.“I am grateful for what I have, and I'm not running for more. I want to live this beautiful present I am in. I don’t want to spoil my day by trying to make my future better or urging me to get more and more,” she added.
Sara also stressed that, though materialistic pleasures have received much attention due to social media, people have always been materialistic. She said, “The world has always been materialistic, and now they live to show others how wealthy or beautiful they are. Showing happiness and living a happy life are two different things. All of us are only running towards buying more, saving more, and forgetting to live in the present.”

'I found the role very challenging': Tanya Desai on her character in Nagvadhu: Ek Zehreeli Kahani

Tanya Desai will be seen playing the character of Thakurain in ALTT’s new series, Nagvadhu: Ek Zehreeli Kahani. Speaking of her role, she said, “I found the role very challenging. I’m playing the Thakurain of the village, where Bhujangraj is a Devta who asks all the new brides to be with him forever. Thakurain is said to have received a blessing from Bhujangraj. She represents Bhujangraj in communication.” “But in fact, she crafted a false narrative of Bhujangraj, and it was she who abducted all the attractive ladies from the Nag-Palace village. As the primary antagonist of the narrative, she is a lesbian who operates an illicit drug company, doing all of this for her own gain,” she added.
However, she mentioned that the role came with a challenge. She said, “Pulling someone's body into your body and then acting like him was challenging. Also, the team was super great.” What is the USP of ALTT? “The shows are fast-paced, and they are entertaining,” Tanya ended. The series will be released on 21st June, 2024, on ALTT.

Gulfam Khan Hussain: The pandemic made me realise that I need to be fit

For actress Gulfam Khan Hussain who is seen in 'Dhruv Tara - Samay Sadi Se Pare', fitness is all about being healthy, and not only thinner. The actress, who will soon be seen in a web series called Waack Girls that will stream on Amazon Prime, says that she realised the importance of being fit only after the pandemic.“For me, being fit isn't about being smaller. Till a couple of years ago, I used to not workout seriously but the pandemic made me realise that being fit is very important. I have become a regular for workouts now. It makes your organs fitter too. As for diet, I'm not very strict about it. I eat everything albeit consciously,” she says.
Ask her how she manages to have a fitness routine, and she says, “You find time for yourself or you find an excuse... I choose the former. An hour of exercise is 4% of your day and all you need is approximately an active half an hour.” She adds, “I do group workouts and I go for yoga twice a week. I keep changing my workout styles to avoid stagnation and boredom.” As for her diet, she tried to have everything in moderation. “I have a sweet tooth and anyone who knows about people with sweet teeth is that they can avoid sweets for a while but not give up and then I'm a foodie too... So all goes in moderation,” she says.
Sharing fitness tips, she says, “Make sure to workout every day, any form, anywhere, for at least half an hour. Also, avoid eating sweets after 4:00 pm.” For the actress, mental health is equally important as physical wellbeing. She says, “Mental health is as important as physical health and sometimes more, do what makes you happy, a walk in the forest or a night out with friends. My time is 15 minutes with myself and my plants when I wake in the morning. Reading a book at night and catching up with friends at least 3 times a week, I also have a bunch of hobbies.”

Radhika Vidyasagar: Shooting for a daily soap is often very challenging

Actress Radhika Vidyasagar, who plays the role of Renuka Deshmukh in Rahul Tewary and Rolling Tales Production’s "Udne Ki Aasha," shares that shooting for a daily soap is often very challenging.“A daily soap is difficult to manage. The term ‘daily soap’ itself implies that you have to shoot daily, with challenging work schedules. With seven days of telecast, it's really difficult. I almost take an hour with the traffic and everything. But still, Film City is a nice place to shoot. I've been shooting for daily soaps for more than 25 years now, so I am very comfortable with the TV medium. You have to make an effort to manage your house, your family, and your work. It is difficult. At times, it is hectic. I cook my food early in the morning and carry all three meals with me as far as possible. I don't eat outside food. So, yes, doing all these things by yourself and then working for 12 hours is difficult. But I’m enjoying it, I am managing it, and I am proud that I can manage this and am very happy,” she says.
However, daily soaps are a constant source of income, she says, “You get good money. Hard work pays off. You do have to sacrifice a few things, but what you get in return is much more important and fruitful. I am comfortable working in daily soaps, in fact, I am comfortable working in all mediums now. But yes, TV is my medium, so it's my comfort zone. Some actors dislike being labelled a TV actor. I don’t know. To each their own. But I'm an actor. I'm a performer. I have been doing Marathi theatre and stage for years. There is no label as such. I am an actor, a stage actor, a TV actor. I have done a number of ad films and films. The medium is just a medium, but acting remains the same. So, whoever labels me, it doesn’t matter. An actor, at the end of the day, is an actor, a performer. You have to run a house, be busy, and be seen. So, to sum it up, it doesn’t matter much to me,” she says.
She adds, “The best part of working in television is that you work daily. You don't have to sit and wait for work. You are seen every day and recognized every day. When I go out, people know me and recognize me. What else could you want? The best part is you're working every day. I don't differentiate between TV and other mediums. I will never say the best part of working in TV is this and the best part of working in ad films or films is that. The best part is that you keep on working. That's the best thing.”
