Cannes: India Pavilion to focus on 'Content Hub of the World'

Cannes 2022 has started with the utmost pomp and show with India being at the centre of focus. India is the ‘Country of Honour’ at Marche Du Films organised alongside the Cannes Film Festival in France.  R Madhavan, along with Ricky Kej, Vani Tripathi, Prasoon Joshi, Anurag Thakur,Union Minister for I&B, Youth Affairs & Sports, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shekhar Kapur represented India at the Cannes Film Festival red carpet.Thakur has said the India Pavilion at the 75th Cannes Film Festival will focus on positioning India as the 'Content Hub of the World'. Thakur on Tuesday took a tour of the India Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. He also met Charles H. Rivkin, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Motion Pictures Association of America.

Cannes veteran Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, actor Aditi Rao Hydari, who is representing the cosmetic giant Loreal, will also walk the red carpet. TV stars Hina Khan and Helly Shah will also walk the red carpet. This is Hina Khan's second year at the film festival. She made her Cannes red carpet debut in 2019. Madhavan, whose directorial debut Rocketry: The Nambi Effect is set to have its screening on May 19, will also walk the red carpet at the gala.
