The Indian equity market indices ended on a positive note on Wednesday with led by PSU Bank, Capital Goods and Healthcare stocks. After the initial downtick, Nifty drifted further lower in early hours amid weak trends in the US markets and continuous foreign fund outflows but recovery in select heavyweights not only pared losses but also pushed the index in the green.At close, the Sensex was up 173.22 points or 0.26 percent at 66,118.69, while the Nifty was up 51.75 points or 0.26 percent at 19,716.45.
Stocks and Sectors
Coal India, ITC, Larsen & Toubro, Cipla and LTIMindtree were the top gainers on the Nifty,while losers included Titan Company, Grasim Industries, Hero MotoCorp, SBI and BPCL.
On the sectoral front,PSU Bank, Capital Goods, FMCG, Realty and Healthcare indices were up 0.5-1 percent, while some selling was seen in the oil & gas names.The BSE midcap and smallcap indices also added 0.6 percent each.
On 27 Sep'23 the Indian rupee ended flat to close at 83.22 against the US dollar amid surging US Treasury yields and rising crude oil prices.

Market experts have recommended five stocks to buy for Wednesday -BSE,Varun Beverages, Dixon, MapMyIndia (C.E Info Systems), Federal Bank, and Tata Consumer Products.
