Taiwanese media report says that armed forces stationed on the western islands have entered combat-ready phase two as tensions simmer over Nancy Pelosi's visit to the island. China has opposed the US official's visit as it sees Taiwan as part of its own territory.. As per Jananese media report, at least 13 US Air Force aircraft have left from military bases in Japan. The US air force plane carrying Pelosi and her delegation did not fly directly from her previous stop of Kuala Lumpur to Taipei, taking a wide detour via Borneo and the Philippines..
