US and Israel torpedoed diplomacy, alleges Iran

Iran has alleged that US and Israel torpedoed diplomacy and attacked Tehran in middle of negotiation process. Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei claim, Tehran’s always for diplomacy.’ He said that Iran's strike on largest US base in Middle East, was not retaliation, this was self-defense.

The hardline Kayhan newspaper, overseen by Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, has called for the arrest and execution of Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). US Secretary of State Rubio said on Saturday that Iran's calls for the arrest and execution of IAEA Director General Grossi are unacceptable and should be condemned. "We support the lAEA's critical verification and monitoring efforts in Iran and commend the Director General and the lAEA for their dedication and professionalism. We call on Iran to provide for the safety and security of IAEA personnel."
