Trump seeks 15-20% minimum tariff on EU goods

US President Donald Trump is reportedly pushing for a minimum tariff of 15% to 20% on all goods imported from the European Union in any trade deal, according to a report on Friday. The administration is considering a reciprocal tariff rate higher than 10%, even if an agreement is reached, the report added, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter.
Trump has also rejected the latest proposal from the EU to cut car tariffs and intends to maintain duties on the automotive sector at 25% as planned, the report said.The move signals heightened trade tensions between Washington and Brussels as both sides seek to renegotiate terms amid growing concerns over global trade disruptions.
