Trump says only unconditional surrender will lead to Iran deal

The escalating conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran has entered its seventh day, widening across multiple countries in the Middle East and beyond. The unprecedented attacks by Iran, targeting US military assets, American embassies and civilian infrastructure across the Gulf, continued into their on Friday after US-Israeli air strikes that devastated Iran’s leadership. At least 13 people have been killed in the Gulf, including seven civilians, since Iran began its attacks on Saturday. Washington said six US servicemen were killed, including four in Kuwait. The UAE has intercepted more than 1,000 drones, 181 ballistic missiles and 8 cruise missiles, the ministry said before the latest attack.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar condemned an Iranian attack on buildings in Bahrain that house members of the Qatari Emiri Naval Forces. In a statement posted on X, the ministry called the strike a “blatant hostile act” and a “flagrant violation” of Bahrain’s sovereignty, saying it posed a direct threat to the country’s security and to regional stability. It said the Qatari naval personnel stationed at the targeted sites, who were participating in a joint maritime operations center under the Gulf Cooperation Council’s unified military command, were safe and no injuries were recorded.
Prince Reza Pahlavi condemned Iranian missile strikes on several Arab countries and called for the end of the Islamic Republic.  “The Islamic Republic has launched missiles at the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Iraq, and Saudi Arabia. It is targeting our Arab neighbors,” Pahlavi wrote on X. “These violations of their sovereignty are unacceptable and we condemn them.” He said such actions reflected decades of regional intervention by Iran’s leadership and added: “This is who the Islamic Republic has always been. And this is why it must end.”
US President Donald Trump said there will be no deal with Iran except “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER,” in a post on Truth Social on Friday. “There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!” Trump wrote, adding that after that and the selection of a “GREAT & ACCEPTABLE Leader(s),” the United States and its allies would work to rebuild Iran. “Iran will have a great future. MAKE IRAN GREAT AGAIN (MIGA!),” he wrote.
Meanwhile, the Israeli military has killed more than 70 Hezbollah operatives in strikes in Lebanon since the terror group began attacking Israel earlier this week. According to Lebanon’s health ministry, at least 123 people have been killed and 683 wounded in Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon since Monday.
