In Pakistan, nine policemen killed while several others were injured in a bomb blast in Balochistan province on Monday. According to reports, the incident took place on Kambri bridge in Bolan area of Balochistan.Due to the impact of the blast, the vehicle in which the policemen of the Balochistan Constabulary were travelling, overturned affecting the security personnel on board. Inquiries are underway in the matter, however, initial investigations suspect this to be a suicide attack. As per report, the constabulary van was on its way back to Quetta from Sibi when an explosion occurred on the Kambri bridge in the area bordering the Sibi and Kachhi districts. So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attack. The blast comes on the heels of attacks in KP and areas bordering Afghanistan. According to media reports, the militant group has intensified its attacks while insurgents in Balochistan have also stepped up their violent activities and formalised a nexus with it. The police said that three of the injured are in critical condition and are being shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Sibi.
