Pakistan Army helicopter crashes in PoK, all on board dead

A Pakistan Army Aviation Mi-17 helicopter crashed near Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir during take-off on Wednesday, reportedly due to a technical fault. According to Pakistani media reports all personnel on board were killed in the crash. The military's media wing said there were no survivors. Military authorities have launched an investigation to determine what caused the helicopter to crash.

"A board of inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the exact technical cause of the accident," the ISPR said. Officials have not yet disclosed how many personnel were on board at the time of the crash. The crash is the latest in a string of helicopter accidents involving Pakistani military and government aircraft.
