In Nepal, an ATR aircraft of the Yeti Airlines with 72 people, including 10 foreigners, and four crew onboard crashed into a river gorge on Sunday morning. According to the reports, the aircraft flew from Kathmandu to Pokhara and the accident took place while landing at the Pokhara airport. Massive rescue operation is on at the accident site. As per reports 63 bodies have been recovered so far. According to Pokhara authorities, there was no possibility of survival of anyone in the plane crash. The pilot tried his best to avoid crashing into the city so the damage was minimal, they said. Nepal's civil aviation authority will conduct a detailed inquiry into the entire matter, the officials stated.

The flight crashed into forested land located on the banks of the Seti Gandaki river that flows between the old domestic airport and Pokhra International Airport. The plane crashed purportedly ten seconds before landing.
