External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar met several world leaders on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit-2025 in Malaysia. On Monday morning Jaishankar had a meeting with US secretary Marco Rubio in Kuala Lumpur.Both leaders discussed bilateral ties as well as regional and global issues. In a social media post, he said that during his meeting with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim on Sunday, he conveyed the best wishes for a successful ASEAN Summit. He added that Ibrahim’s thoughts on strengthening bilateral cooperation and people-to-people linkages between the two nations are valuable.

Meeting his Singaporean counterpart, Vivian Balakrishnan, Dr Jaishankar said that they exchanged views on the global and regional scenarios, and also opportunities for strengthening India-Singapore cooperation.
During the sidelines of the Summit, the External Affairs Minister also met the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Sihasak Phuangketkeow. The minister said that he looks forward to working together with him to take forward both countries’ Strategic Partnership.
