India rejects Pakistan-China Boundary Commission as legally invalid

India has rejected the so-called Pakistan-China Boundary Joint Commission, saying Pakistan has no locus standi to enter into arrangements concerning Indian territory under its illegal and forcible occupation. Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs Randhir Jaiswal said this while responding to media queries yesterday. He said the Ministry has seen reports in this regard and India’s position is clear and consistent. He said there is no boundary between Pakistan. Jaiswal said, New Delhi rejects the Pakistan-China Boundary Joint Commission, which is without any legal basis.
The spokesperson reiterated that the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh have been, are, and will always remain integral and inalienable parts of India. He said India has never recognised the so-called 1963 China-Pakistan Boundary Agreement and has consistently maintained that it is illegal and invalid. The MEA spokesperson said, New Delhi resolutely opposes and rejects any attempt to alter the status of the occupied territories or legitimise what it calls illegal occupation. New Delhi called upon Pakistan to immediately vacate areas under its illegal and forcible occupation instead of engaging in such theatrics.
India also opposed any attempt to alter the status of these territories or legitimise what it considers illegal occupation. Jaiswal said any so-called boundary cooperation between China and Pakistan concerning Indian territories would be unacceptable and would have no bearing on India’s sovereignty over those territories.
