Drone struck in Dubai, Oman Air cancels flights till March 15

Two Iranian drones struck Dubai on Thursday, hitting the al-Badaa neighbourhood and the facade of a building on Sheikh Zayed Road, the city’s main highway, the Dubai Media reported. Authorities described the incidents as "minor," and no injuries were reported. The attacks occurred without prior warnings, underscoring rising regional tensions and the threat to urban areas amid the ongoing US-Israeli-Iran conflict.

Oman Air has cancelled multiple international flights due to continued airspace closures across parts of the Middle East, the airline said. The carrier noted that operational challenges caused by restricted airspace are affecting scheduled services and that the cancellations will impact flights planned between March 9 and March 15, as aviation operations in the region remain constrained.Saudi Arabia said it shot down a drone targeting the diplomatic quarter of the capital, Riyadh, and also reported downing drones inthe kingdom's east, including at least one trying to target its Shaybah oil field.
Meanwhile, Iran has escalated its targeting of energy establishments in the Gulf, with strikes targeting a container ship off the UAE near the outskirts of Dubai and a drone attack on Oman's Salalah Port. The Gulf has borne the brunt of Iran's attacks since the Middle East war began on February 28, with 24 people killed in the region including seven US service members and 11 civilians.
