17 killed in Pak air strike in Afghanistan, ACB withdraws from tri-series

The Taliban regime has said that Islamabad carried out airstrikes in several districts of Paktika province in Afghanistan which lies along the Durand Line. Following Pakistani airstrikes, a senior Taliban official said that the truce between the two sides have been "broken," reported international news agency AFP. The strikes hit several houses in the Argun and Bermal districts along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Sources at the Afghanistan Cricket Board told TOLOnews that  17 civilians, including cricket players at the club level have been killed and four others injured in Pakistani military regime bombings on Paktika. These players had returned from Sharana, the center of Paktika, to Argun district after the end of their matches, when they were targeted in the bombing.

Afghanistan has decided to cancel Tri-Series Matches with Pakistan over deadly Airstrikes The Afghanistan Cricket Board has decided to withdraw from the upcoming tri-nation T20 series with Pakistan and Sri Lanka in response to the recent airstrikes by Pakistan in Paktika, which resulted in the death of 8 domestic cricket players. The strikes wounded 4 more players, all  who were playing the club level cricket.Afghanistan cricket team captain Rashid Khan issued a strongly worded statement condemning the "barbaric" airstrikes and said he supported Afghanistan's decision to withdraw from the tri-series.
