It remains unclear whether the train drivers were among those seriously hurt.Images from the scene showed the front sections of both trains badly damaged, although the carriages remained upright on the tracks. The crash reportedly occurred near a level crossing, and investigators have begun probing the cause of the collision. The mayor of nearby Gribskov, Trine Egetved, said in a social media post that some of the injured were airlifted to hospitals for treatment. She noted that the rail line is commonly used by local residents, including employees and schoolchildren.Authorities have yet to release further details as rescue and investigation efforts continue.
