It's quite rough being an MP in India, Rahul tells British parliamentarians

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi once again hit out at the central government on Monday. Rahul Gandhi told British parliamentarians in London that it is quite rough being an MP in India. He was speaking in the Grand Committee room of the British Parliament to a room of 90 guests, consisting of Lords, Dames, MPs, academicians, the public, and members of the media. “The RSS and the BJP are infiltrating institutions. They are coercing these institutions and (hence) conversations are not possible. That is why I undertook) Bharat Jodo Yatra, he said. He added that the central idea of Bharat Jodo Yatra was that “India needs to start talking again”. Gandhi also said that he does not believe in the ‘nobody can beat the BJP’ narrative.  I don’t listen to the narrative in the media . I listen to the people on the ground, Rahul Gandhi said. During a session at the Chatham House think tank in London, he once again questioned the Centre's attitude towards Beijing as he claimed that the basic idea behind the Chinese troops on the Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh borders is similar to what is happening in Ukraine. 

Our society is built in a democratic manner. The Chinese do not practice the same model and see as their biggest challenger. We need to offer the world our own vision of 'Productivity with Prosperity'.

“I think this is what is happening on the borders of my country. China doesn't want us to have a relationship with the US. It is threatening us by saying if you continue to have a relationship then we'll take action. That is why they have got troops in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh,” Rahul Gandhi added.
