Iran will not surrender, Khamenei warns US of irreparable damage

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Wednesday warned that any US military intervention would bring “irreparable damage,” and emphasized Iran “will not surrender” in the face of threats. As per state media report, “Those who know Iran and its history do not speak the language of threats,” Khamenei said. “The Iranian nation stands firm against imposed war… and will not submit to imposed peace,” he said. Khamnei said Tehran used hypersonic missiles to pound Israel in the latest round of overnight strikes as the fighting moved into its sixth day. Doubling down on his warning to Israel's "terrorist Zionist regime", Khamenei said peace or war could not be imposed on the Islamic Republic. "The Iranian nation will stand firm against an imposed war, just as it will stand firm against an imposed peace, and this nation will not surrender to anyone in the face of imposition," the Supreme Leader said.

The conflict between Israel and Iran has entered its sixth day, with nearly 600 killed in Iran and 24 in Israel. The escalation began after Israel launched airstrikes across Iran on June 13. The International Atomic Energy Agency said on Wednesday that two Iranian facilities involved in centrifuge production were damaged in Israeli attacks. The TESA Karaj workshop and the Tehran Research Center, both previously under IAEA monitoring as part of the 2015 nuclear deal (JCPOA), were struck, the agency said on X.
