Rich tributes poured in from across the legal fraternity condoling the death of eminent jurist and veteran advocate Fali Sam Nariman with Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud terming him as a "great giant of an intellectual" and former CJI N V Ramana calling him a "conscience keeper for judicial institutions".
President Droupadi Murmu has expressed grief over the demise of Fali Nariman. President Murmu said, he was a titan among legal luminaries. She said, that among the wisest experts on the Indian Constitution, Fali Nariman was also a globally respected jurist. The President said, he served the nation in various roles, including as a member of the Rajya Sabha, with equal dedication. She said, the contributions of Fali Nariman in enriching constitutional practices and strengthening the legal system will be remembered for a long. She expressed condolences to the family, colleagues, and admirers.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar has expressed grief on the demise of distinguished jurist and senior advocate Fali S Nariman. In a social media post, Dhankhar said, Mr. Nariman was a legal luminary and a towering figure in the Indian legal system with a career spanning over seven decades. The Vice President expressed condolences to the family members of Mr Nariman and the legal fraternity on this unbridgeable loss. Dhankhar said, Fali S Nariman's legacy and contribution will always serve as a guiding light to the nation at large.

Nariman died New Delhi on Wednesday at the age of 95. He was suffering from multiple ailments, including cardiac issues.As soon as a bench led by the CJI assembled for the day's proceedings on Wednesday, Justice Chandrachud mourned the death of the legal doyen.
