UP CM urges BJP workers to ensure 100% participation in SIR exercise

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday called on BJP office-bearers and grassroots workers to ensure complete participation in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, emphasising that every eligible citizen must be included in the updated voter list.Reviewing the progress of the SIR campaign during a meeting with BJP leaders, councillors, former councillors and ward-level election contestants at the Annexe Auditorium in Gorakhpur, Adityanath said that preparing an accurate and error-free voter list is a crucial responsibility. He stressed that no eligible voter should be left out during the revision exercise.
According to an official statement, the chief minister directed party workers to actively support citizens in submitting the SIR enumeration form. He urged them to conduct door-to-door visits to ensure that all eligible voters complete the required documentation. For effective execution, he instructed the formation of a 10-member team at each booth, comprising the booth president, members of the booth committee and senior party workers.Adityanath further said that special camps must be organised at every booth from December 5 to 10 to facilitate the submission of voter documents and ensure maximum coverage. He also directed the formation of a separate group of BJP women workers to assist female voters through targeted door-to-door outreach.The chief minister underlined that the SIR exercise is essential for strengthening democratic participation and urged party cadres to treat the campaign with utmost seriousness and commitment.
