Under Nitish Kumar, NDA will break all electoral records in Bihar: PM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Friday that the National Democratic Alliance, under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, will break all records and win next month's Bihar Assembly election.Addressing an election rally in Samastipur, Prime Minister Modi urged the crowd to switch on their mobile flashlights, saying, “When there is so much light, do we still need the lantern?” a direct jibe at the RJD’s election symbol. He said,said the NDA government fulfilled the long-pending demand for granting constitutional status to the OBC Commission. Modi said, Bihar was freed from the “Jungle Raj” in October 2005 when the NDA government under Nitish Kumar came to power. He alleged that during the 10 years when the Congress-RJD alliance ruled at the Centre, they created constant obstacles for Bihar’s development.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar  addressing a public rally in Samastipur, highlighting the state government’s development work, Nitish urged voters to support the NDA for continued progress and stability in Bihar. Nitish Kumar accused, "The previous government in Bihar never did anything for the development of people of Bihar...When he (Lalu Prasad Yadav) had to be removed from power, he made his wife the Chief Minister...They worked for their own family...We will always stay with the NDA"

Taking a sharp dig at the RJD and Congress, Modi accused their leaders of being “out on bail in scams worth thousands of crores” and alleged they are now “trying to steal the legacy and title” of Karpoori Thakur. He said the people of Bihar will never tolerate this insult to the revered leader and will respond strongly through their votes.
