In view of the continuing heavy influx of pilgrims, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has cancelled Monday’s VIP Break Darshan and the 800 same-day online Srivani Darshan tickets to facilitate early darshan for common devotees. TTD Additional Executive Officer Venkaiah Chowdary said more than 1.5 lakh devotees were waiting for Srivari Darshan on Saturday, making it one of the largest pilgrim gatherings in Tirumala’s history. With a similar rush expected Sunday, TTD has cancelled staff leave, deployed the entire workforce and strengthened security with additional police personnel.

To accommodate more Sarva Darshan pilgrims, quotas under certain privileged darshan categories have also been reduced. TTD is continuing to provide drinking water, Annaprasadam, sanitation and other essential amenities despite all accommodation complexes and queue lines remaining full. The Additional Executive Officer appealed to devotees to cooperate with TTD and complete their darshan without unnecessary delay near the sanctum so that all pilgrims can have a smooth and timely darshan.
