J&K L-G launches portal to aid families of terror victims

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday launched a dedicated web portal aimed at expediting relief and providing compassionate appointments to families of terror attack victims in the Union Territory.Developed by the Home Department in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre (NIC), the portal will serve as a centralized platform to capture and maintain comprehensive district-wise data on families affected by terrorism.
“Launched a dedicated web portal today for terror victim families in Jammu Kashmir. The initiative will streamline & expedite the process of providing relief, compassionate appointments, and other forms of assistance to those who have suffered from terrorism in the UT,” Sinha said in a post on X.

He added, “I am personally monitoring & overseeing the redressal of all cases across the UT.”The launch follows Sinha’s recent initiative on July 13, where he handed over appointment letters to the next of kin of 40 terror victims in Baramulla. Speaking at that event, the L-G reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring jobs and justice for families affected by terrorism, emphasizing that the era of family members of terrorists receiving jobs is over.
