The country was on the right track towards Viksit Bharat 2047 and institutional capacity building would play a key role in that, Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in Pudhuchery on Sunday. Viksit Bharat 2047 is the NDA government's roadmap to make the country a developed nation by 2047, when India celebrates its centenary of achieving independence. For a Sashakt Bharat, for a Surakshit Bharat and for a Viksit Bharat by 2047, we need to be sure that the economic levels of our citizens are improved, said Sitharaman and added They have to be lifted from where they are today to a higher level - with better living standards and better access to opportunities.
We're on the right track towards become a Viksit Bharat by 2047. Institutional capacity building will play a key role in that.

Sitharaman said, India is a non-aggressor nation and we have always extended friendly gestures towards other countries, be it through Vaccine Maitri or Operation Samudra Setu. However, nations cannot be secure in isolation. Asymmetric pursuit of national interests by few countries can cause imbalance globally and we have to be ready to face any such situation, she said.
