IIM, Indore to conduct a Leadership Development Programme for Frontline Doctors. This will be a Short Duration Certificate Programme which will include contemporary topics of interest for doctors, including Leadership, Negotiations, Conflict Management, Effective Communication Skills, Understanding New-age Technology, Service Operations, Financial Management, etc. Prof. Himanshu Rai, Director, announce this at a function on the World Doctors Day in Indore. In his address he said that the Institute wishes to express its gratitude to the doctors who faced this challenge amid the pandemic first and helped the nation get through these difficult times.
"Doctors taking care of the patients unceasingly for hours without a break. It’s overwhelming to see, that despite being underequipped, short-staffed, overworked, and away from their families for weeks, these doctors have been determined to save each and every patient who sought their attention, especially during this pandemic, just to make sure that all of us are safe and healthy," he said. Dr Rai announced that the Institute has planned to impart a Leadership Development Programme ‘Kritajna’; for 100 selected doctors for a duration of 70 hours. The regular cost for this Leadership Development Programme is Rs. 1.5 Lakh per participant. Hence, with a free of cost programme for the 100 frontline doctors, the notional contribution by IIM Indore accounts to Rs. 1.5 Crore, making it the biggest ISR contribution amongst all the educational institutions so far.
