Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday inaugurated the ‘Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference – Central Gujarat’ at GSFC University in Vadodara, marking the beginning of the two-day summit aimed at accelerating industrial growth, investment and innovation across the region.Held under the theme ‘Regional Aspirations, Global Ambitions’, the conference brings together industry leaders, policymakers, diplomats and experts to explore opportunities for economic development in Central Gujarat.The inaugural session was attended by Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar along with Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, representatives from partner countries and prominent industrialists.

The summit began with the inauguration of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition, showcasing regional industries, startups, MSMEs and technology-driven enterprises. The exhibition features more than 150 stalls, including participation from major organisations such as Amul and Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC).
The two-day conference will host more than 30 seminars featuring 151 experts and delegates from partner countries including Japan, Singapore, the UAE, Ukraine and Rwanda. According to information,discussions will focus on future-ready sectors such as semiconductors, logistics, green hydrogen, quantum technology, artificial intelligence in agriculture, aerospace and defence.
Central Gujarat’s growth potential will remain at the centre of discussions, with focus sectors including semiconductors and electronics, IT and IT-enabled services, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, fintech, automobile and auto components, dairy and food processing, chemicals and petrochemicals, green energy, skill development, startups, MSMEs, tourism and culture.Districts including Ahmedabad, Anand, Chhota Udepur, Dahod, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Mahisagar, Narmada, Panchmahal and Vadodara are being highlighted during the conference for investment opportunities and regional development initiatives.Several seminars and sessions will be conducted on emerging technologies, defence, biotechnology, agro and food processing, women entrepreneurship, startups, MSMEs, skill development and tourism.
Japan, Rwanda, UAE and Ukraine are among the confirmed partner countries for the conference, while organisations including the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), US-India Business Council (USIBC), US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), Indo-Canadian Business Chamber, AMCHAM India, Federation of European Business in India, KOTRA and UAE-India Business Council are participating as partner organisations.The Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference series is aimed at extending the investment-focused vision of the Vibrant Gujarat Summit to different regions of the state by promoting local strengths and attracting domestic and global investments.
