Assam:40,000 hectares of land evicted from encroachment: CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has said that the state government has so far cleared almost 40,000 hectares of land from encroachment, which is equivalent to about 160 square kilometers. Talking to newsmen in Guwahati on Tuesday ,he said, the land we have reclaimed includes forest land, grazing reserves, tribal belt and block lands, and other government land. It’s important to note that not all those we have evicted are landless.

Slamming the Congress, Sarma accused,"It is clear that Congress is operating globally, and you have seen how Congress’s social media has been boosted by foreign entities. I already exposed that around 5,000 handles were active on certain social media platforms."
