Olympics: PV Sindhu loses in semis, Kamalpreet Kaur enter Discus finals

India's shutller P V Sindhu lost to top-seed Tai Tzu-Ying in straight games - 18-21, 12-21 in the semifinal of the women's singles badminton title. Kamalpreet Kaur earned direct qualification to the Women's Discus final event with a 64m throw. Sindhu was unable to match Tai's variations and said that she was prepared for the Taiwanese second seed.
