England women team players Natalie Sciver and Katherine Brunt got married in a private ceremony over the weekend. Current and former England women cricketers like captain Heather Knight, Danielle Wyatt, Isa Guha, and Jenny Gunn attended the wedding ceremony of the duo. Sciver had announced her engagement with Brunt in October 2019 and the pair was supposed to get married in September 2020. Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, the wedding got delayed for nearly two years.

Both Sciver and Brunt were part of England’s 2017 World Cup-winning campaign at home and also played in the 2022 World Cup in New Zealand. Sciver and Brunt became the third renowned pair of an international team to get married after South Africa’s Dane van Niekerk–Marizanne Kapp and New Zealand’s Lea Tahuhu–Amy Satterthwaite.
