West Bengal CM Mamata Bannerjee is nowadays criticising left & Congress parties for violent agitations in her State and on the other hand she met with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kolkata on Saturday and demanded to repeal Citizenship Amendment Act and proposed nationwide NRC.
Miss Banerjee meeting with the PM did not liked by opposition especially left and Congress parties. They have criticized Ms Banerjee for skipping next Monday's meeting at New Delhi on NRC and CAA issues. After the meeting Miss Banerjee told newsmen that she has raised several issues related to State besides demanding release of over Rs 13,000 crore outstanding from the Centre.
Now, Ms Banerjee is more critical and vocal against Opposition then the BJP. This reported swing is bound to affect particular votes in West Bengal. According to experts, Mamata Banerjee will never allow to dent in TMC's dedicated voters. Experts opined that this will escalate further and opposition unity on CAA & NRC issues is likely to suffer more, especially in West Bengal.
Meanwhile, a delegation of State BJP led by President and MP Dilip Ghosh met the Prime Minister and apprised him on the prevailing situation of the State particularly NRC and CAA related positions.
Minutes after holding meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday attended a sit-in demonstration organised by Trinamool Congress students' wing against the CAA and NRC.
