'Spreading false narrative', Shah accuses Cong of shielding intruders

Senior BJP leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah has alleged that under the guise of a “Voter Adhikar Yatra,” the Congress leader is trying to provide protection to infiltrators. "They spread a false narrative every time. Rahul Gandhi did a Yatra. The topic of his yatra was not vote theft. The topic was not good education, employment, electricity, roads. The topic of the tour was saving the infiltrators who have come from Bangladesh. Have any of you lost their votes?. This was Rahul Gandhi's 'Ghuspaithiya Bachao Yatra'. Should infiltrators have the right to vote or free rations? Should infiltrators get jobs, houses, treatment up to 5 lakh rupees?, he asked. Shah said that the NDA government in Bihar is working towards building a developed Bihar, with full support from the Central government.

Addressing the regional convention of BJP leaders and workers from the Shahabad and Magadh regions at Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas district, the senior BJP leader called upon party workers to go door-to-door and inform people about the steps taken by the Nitish government for the welfare of Anganwadi workers, Anganwadi assistants, Mamta Didis, Jeevika Didis, Youth, and women. He appealed for unity among party workers and emphasised the need to strengthen the NDA ahead of the upcoming Assembly elections. Shah alleged that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “Voter Adhikar Yatra” is actually a campaign to protect infiltrators.

Earlier, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday sprung a surprise when he drove down to a Patna hotel to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who is in the state for fine-tuning the BJP's strategy for the upcoming assembly polls.
