In Punjab, Congress leaders have started speaking in different voices. Ex Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh lashed out at the Congress for poor show while Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu congratulate the people of Punjab for this excellent decision of ushering in a new system. CAptai Singh on Friday criticised the old party after spokesperson Randeep Surjewala blamed '4.5 years of anti-incumbency under Captain...' for the massive defeat to the Aam Aadmi Party. "The Congress leadership will never learn! Who is responsible for the humiliating defeat of Congress in UP? What about Manipur, Goa, Uttarakhand? The answer is written in BOLD LETTERS on the wall but as always I presume they will avoid reading it," Singh tweeted.

Sidhu asserted that the people have chosen change and they are never wrong. "The voice of the people is the voice of God. We should understand with humility and bow to it," he added. Talking to newsmen, Sidhu he said the upliftment of Punjab is his mission and he never strayed from it and never will. "When a Yogi is on a crusade, they cut all ties and are free of all bounds. They don't even fear death. I am here in Punjab and will remain here. When someone has a higher objective and is in love with Punjab then he doesn't care about win or loss," he said.
