Mamta discussed Bengal projects,Covid vaccines with PM

During her New Delhi visit, West Bengal chief minister Mamta Banerjee on Tuesday met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence. After the meeting, she told reporters that there should be a Supreme Court-monitored inquiry into the Pegasus scandal involving opposition leaders. Ms Banerjee described it as a 'courtesy visit' - she had discussed the Covid situation, the supply of vaccines and medicine to the state and also a proposal to rename Bengal as Bangla. She refused to comment on what PM Modi said in the meeting. "I cannot tell you what he said because it would not be right," she said.

Prior to her meeting with PM Modi, Mamata Banerjee met former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Kamal Nath and Congress MP Anand Sharma in the national capital
