Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that the opposition is not happy with these GST reforms. He alleged that during the UPA rule time, there was a tax terror which the Modi government has removed. He said during the UPA time, there were only talks and no real work was done. Vaishnaw said, during the UPA government, the tax on cement was 30 per cent, which has now come down to 18 per cent. The Minister said, the UPA imposed a 13 per cent tax on sanitary pads, and the NDA government has brought it to zero tax.
No real work was done during the UPA regime. Today, I want to explain with examples the difference between the tax rates - THEN and NOW.
