Former CBI Director M Nageshwar Rao announced a new chapter in his public life, unveiling his new political role as the National President of the Sarvajana Sanatan Party (SSP) in Varanasi.Speaking to the media, Rao said that after nearly four decades of work in the fields of security, law and order, and administration, he now wants to use his experience for the greater good of the nation and society. He said that “Satya Sanatan, Nitya Newan” is not just a slogan, but the core foundation of the party’s ideology. Sanatan is not just a method of worship, but a life-long vision of truth, dharma, duty, justice, compassion, and public welfare.
Rao said that India should progress in the fields of modernity, science, technology, and economic development, but it is also important to remain connected to its civilization, culture, history, and knowledge traditions. He stated that his objective was not to return to the past, but to build India’s future by standing on its civilizational roots. He described education, health, livelihood, and civilizational reconnection as the four main pillars of national development.
The party stated that its objective is not to return to the past, but to build a modern India by standing on its civilizational roots-an India that is technologically and economically modern, yet not disconnected from its cultural identity. Nageshwar Rao also stated that Sanatan needs to be seen not only as an electoral symbol but also as a reflection of its values in education, health, livelihoods, governance, culture, and social life. He also emphasised the need to preserve temples.
Nageshwar Rao, along with Sarvajana Sanatan Party National Vice President Mahant Tirthanand, Vice President Ritu Rathod, General Secretary Raja Saksham Singh Yogi, Spokesperson Babita Sharma, Uttar Pradesh Incharge Rakesh Tiwari, and Organisation Minister Narnarayan Singh were present.
