Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has termed the Congress party a circus. Addressing a rally in Khandwa Lok Sabha constituency on Saturday, he said that the party is being run by an interim president Sonia Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi is not an office bearer in the party, but he has complete rights to remove a chief minister of a state. Chouhan said that Amrinder Singh was the chief minister of Punjab and was running a government very smoothly. He was removed and Charanjit Singh Channi was made the chief minister. Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu's resignation has put the party in a spot, he said.
Taking a dig at the Congress party, Chouhan alleged that the party is facing big crisis in Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. “Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot are not happy with each other while Bhupesh Baghel and TS Deo Singh are involved in a tug of war over the post of the chief minister.”. he said. “A 50-50 is going on in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan too. There are leaders who are demanding their share in power that they should be allowed to become CM for the remaining 50% of the term. This is why, Congress has ceased to be a party and it has become a circus”, added the CM.Chouhan further said, in Madhya Pradesh, if the Congress party wants to appoint then it chooses Kamal Nath, for the leader of opposition position, it again depends on Kamal Nath. For star campaigners, it falls back on Kamal Nath. For the president of Youth wing, the party appoints Nakul Nath, who is the son of Kamal Nath.CM said the BJP government in Madhya Pradesh didn’t leave any stone unturned in providing to people in general and the poor in particular water, electricity, health facilities, housing and other basic amenities of life..
