As predicted in this website on Tuesday, former Senior Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia joined BJP within 24 hrs after resignation from the primary membership from the Congress a day before. . He was inducted in the party in the presence of BJP President J P Nadda in New Delhi.
Addressing the media, Nadda said, the entry of Jyotiraditya Scindia in BJP is like a family member coming to the party. He said, Scindia will work as a mainstream leader in the party.
Scindia said, India's future is secure in the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said, present day Congress is not the old Congress. He said, the dream he saw for Madhya Pradesh has been shattered in 18 months and s looking forward to work under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. He also charged that transfer posting has become an industry in MP and further accused his former party of going back on its promises as well as indulging in corruption. BJP has also decided to field Scindhia and Harsh Chauhan as party's official candidate for Rajya Sabha from MP. Chauhan is a social worker and founded the Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram, a social welfare organisation which works for the tribals in the state and adjoining Chhattisgarh.
