World leaders laud Modi for becoming longest-serving Indian PM

World Leaders on Wednesday greeted Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected prime minister, praising his leadership and dedication to public service. Narendra Modi reached the milestone of becoming India's longest-serving prime minister on Wednesday, with an unbroken tenure of 4,399 days in office, surpassing the record of the first prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.President Droupadi Murmu congratulated the Prime Minister, remarking that his tenure has been distinguished by far-reaching advancements across governance, economic resilience and social transformation. 
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has congratulated Narendra Modi on becoming India's longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister, marking a historic milestone in his tenure. The acknowledgment comes as PM Modi completed 4,399 consecutive days in office since taking charge in 2014, surpassing the record previously held by India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. In her message, Meloni praised the achievement and recalled her recent meeting with PM Modi in Rome during his official visit to Italy in May. She highlighted the strong and evolving partnership between India and Italy, noting that both nations are committed to deepening cooperation across strategic and economic sectors.
Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, was among the first world leaders to commend the Prime Minister for his achievement. He also commented on the India-Sri Lanka bilateral ties. He said that the two nations have seen an upswing in relations in recent years with Sri Lanka benefitting directly from Modi’s support and intervention in challenging times. Praising Modi’s political career, Dissanayake asserted that this milestone is a testament to his competent governance and the capability to bring real change in the lives of the people. 
In a personal video message to Modi, James Marape, the Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, described him as “an exemplary role model for leaders” and expressed the desire to further strengthen the bilateral ties between the two nations.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessa too, of Trinidad and Tobago, congratulated the Indian Prime Minister on this watershed moment in his career. She emphasized on India’s achievements in foreign policy, economic growth, infrastructure and socio-economic development under Modi’s administration.
Cheering Modi for advancing India’s development, Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim, said that he looks forward to "continuing our cooperation in strengthening bilateral ties and expanding opportunities for our peoples". 
In a long congratulatory message on X, President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu added, “Beyond being a great friend of Nigeria, Prime Minister Modi is a personal friend and trusted ally whom I can always count on. Over the years, I have come to deeply admire his wisdom, courage, and commitment to the progress and prosperity of his nation.
William Samoei Ruto, President of Kenya, reflected on Modi’s political trajectory saying “his journey from humble beginnings to this position is a testament to his dedication, perseverance and public service".
US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor and Israeli envoy Reuven Azar today congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest serving elected Prime Minister. In a social media post, US envoy said, this achievement is a powerful testament to Mr Modi’s decades of dedicated public service and leadership. Israeli envoy Reuven Azar in his message congratulated Mr Modi and said, he has transformed the Indian economy through multiple deep reforms.
