In a latest development, Karnataka Central Crime Branch(CCB) police on Thursday raided the residence of Hindi Film Actor Vivek Oberoi in his posh bungalow in Juhu , Mumbai. Karnataka police suspected Aditya Alva might have taken shelter in Vivek Oberoi house, but he was not traced inside the house and they returned empty handed.
Vivek Oberoi is brother in law of Aditya Alva, a sixth accused in the drug scam and absconding since day one.The raid started in the morning and continued till 3.30pm. As Oberoi's bungalow is huge, police searched for Aditya Alva, but they couldn't find him in the house. As they started to search Oberoi's mobile was seized. Oberoi clarified to the police that they have not given shelter to him. Alva is brother of Oberoi's wife.Although police wanted to have big hunt, they returned empty handed.
Bangaluru additional commissioner said, "Aditya Alva is absconding. Vivek Oberoi is his relative and we had information that Alva is present there. So we wanted to check, a court warrant was obtained and the CCB team has gone to his house in Mumbai."Meanwhile, Judicial custody of Kannada actors Sanjjanaa Galrani and Ragini Dwivedi have been extended till October 23 by the special NDPS (Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) court in Bengaluru.
