US:all hostages safe-Taxas Governor, hostage-taker dead

In US, all four hostages released unharmed from a synagogue in the town of Colleyville, Dallas Sunday early morning. At least four persons - including the rabbi - were taken hostage, during a religious service on Saturday night and their suspected captor is dead.Police deployed special weapons SWAT team team. The hostage siege in the small Texas town of Colleyville -- in which the suspect was apparently demanding the release of a convicted terrorist -- had sparked an outpouring of concern from US Jewish organizations as well as from the Israeli government. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tweeted that all hostages, including the congregation’s rabbi, were safe and out of the synagogue after a loud bang and gunfire were heard.

The hostage-taker was demanding the release of the Pakistani scientist Aafia Siddiqui, also known as Lady Al-Qaeda. She has been convicted for trying to kill US military officers while in custody in Afghanistan. Siddiqui is currently being held at FMC Carswell, a federal prison in Fort Worth Texas. Siddiqui was in 2010 sentenced by a New York court to 86 years in prison for attempted murder case. The high-profile case sparked outrage in Pakistan.President Joe Biden has been briefed about the developing hostage situation in the Dallas area, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Twitter.
