Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused the West of lacking courage as his country fights to stave off Russia’s invasion, making an exasperated plea for fighter jets and tanks to sustain a defense in a conflict that has ground into a war of attrition. Speaking after US President Joe Biden said in a lacerating speech that Russian President Vladimir Putin could not stay in power — words the White House immediately sought to downplay — Zelenskyy lashed out at the West’s “ping-pong about who and how should hand over jets” and other weapons while Russian missile attacks kill and trap civilians.
The British Foreign Office has given the conditions for lifting sanctions against Russia. British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss announced that the sanctions against Russia can be lifted if its troops leave the territory of Ukraine and Moscow and proves its commitment to refraining from aggression in the future. Meanwhile, U.S. President Joe Biden has said that “the people of Ukraine can count on the United States to meet its responsibility” to help Ukrainian refugees fleeing the war. Biden said , US to accept 100,000 Ukrainian refugees.

Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk has alleged that Russia forcibly removed 40,000 Ukrainians "in an unknown direction" through "quasi-humanitarian corridors". This removal of people was not coordinated with the Ukrainian authorities, Vereshchuk states. Ukraine claims that 7 attacks were repelled in the directions of Donetsk and Luhansk. According to officials, Russia lost 8 tanks, 8 armored vehicles, 3 cars and one mortar. Ukrainian Interior Minister Vadym Denysenko said Russians have started destroying Ukrainian oil and food supplies. He also said Russia has started deploying more troops at the Ukrainian border.
