Uttar Pradesh government presented the biggest ever budget of the state, which was to the tune of around Rs 5.5 lakh crore. The first paperless budget was presented by state finance minister Suresh Khanna on Monday in the state assembly in Lucknow. Khanna said that this budget is for the holistic and inclusive development of all sections of the society with the moto of Atmnirbhar Uttar Pradesh. Budget is focussed on four sectors- infrastructure development, public health, human resource development and agriculture primarily. Fiscal deficit of the state budget is 90721 crores rupees.
Khana said that in last year state government provided financial help to around 20 lakh workers during corona period and transported more than 40 lakh labourers to their destinations. He said that state government has helped farmers in all possible ways and paid one lakh 23 crores to the sugar cane farmers. Online payment of more than 11145 crores have been done to farmers under MSP for Paddy this season and more than 27110 crores were transferred under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi yojna. The governmant has allotted Rs 2,000 for the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar and Rs 101 Crore for Ayodhya airport. Special emphasis has been given on the expressways, the controlled-access highways, which have led to a increase in road travel. In view of doubling farmers' income by 2022, an outlay of Rs 100 crore has been proposed for Atma Nirbhar Krishak Samanvit Vikas Yojana in the year 2021-22. Outlay of Rs 600 crore has been proposed for the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana. A provision of Rs 700 crore has been made for free water facility to farmers.A provision of Rs 400 crore has been made to provide crop loan to farmers at concessional rates.
