In UP, Congress Nishad Party and Shiv Sena released their list of candidates for the UP assembly elections. Congress has not announced its candidates against Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Singh Yadav.. Shiv Sena also has not fielded it's candidates against CM Yogi Adityanath, Dy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, Ex CM Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Singh Yadav. Shiv Sena announced its 10 candidates for different constituencies in UP.
Congress on February 2,2022 issued it's another list of 27 candidates. Of them seven are replaced. Party has fielded Smt Seema Devi against Dy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya. Ruling Bharatiya Janata Party ally Nishad Party on Wednesday announced its six candidates for assembly polls. Party has fielded Ex MLA Prashant Singh Rahul from Handia constituency in Allahabad district. He was elected from this seat in 2013 polls as Samajwadi Party nominee and in 2017 polls was defeated. SP has denied his renomination from this seat. This seat has been treated strong hold of former minister Dr Rakesh Dhar Tripathi. Piyush Ranjan Nishad will contest from Karchhana seat against SP senior leader Mr Rewati Raman Singh's son sitting MLA Ujjawal Raman Singh. He was BJP candidate from this seat in 2017. Sitting SP MLA Subhash Pasi will contest as Nishad Party nominee from Saidpur seat. SP has denied his renomination. Former BSP leader Anil Kumar Tripathi will contest from Mehdawal seat. Another Ex BSP leader Raj Prasad Upadhyaya will contest from Sultanpur sadar seat as Nishad Party nominee.

Er Sarvan Nishad, who had contested Gorakhpur Parliamentary bye election as independent candidate in 2018. will be party' nominee from Chaurichaura seat in Gorakhpur. He is son of party chief Sanjay Nishad.
