Ugliest Language controversy - Google issues apology

Google apologies to the Kannada speaking  people of its blunder after a search result showed Kannada as the ugliest Indian Languages. Kannada, a predominant classical language of South India, particularly in Karnataka State. To a search querry of ugliest language, a Google reply showed Kannada as its answer made kannadigas  

furious over the mistake and it immediately with drawn the error page.

Kannada language speakers slammed the search engine for  this mischief played by the technical gaint. Kannada has been described as the queen of world languages by many eminent scholars. It has a history of over 2.5 thousand years. Kannada is one of the beautiful languages of India. It seems this damaging answer was displayed in a Russian website.

In its statement, Google said search results aren't always perfect. "Sometimes, the way content is described on the Internet can yield surprising results to specific queries. We know this is not ideal, but we take swift corrective action when we are made aware of an issue and are continually working to improve our algorithms," it said. Google added that the search results are not reflective of its opinions. "We apologise for the misunderstanding and hurting any sentiments," it said.   Karnataka Minister for Kannada, Culture and Forest, Aravind Limbavali told reporters that a legal notice would be served to Google for showing such an answer to that question.
